This is why I don’t get people insisting that Bella is a such a strong and feminist character. I don’t think I would have minded her that much if people have not been going OMG She’s the best person evah and I want to be just like her!!!!11!1 She’s always selling herself short to a guy she likes and that’s supposed to be empowering to young girls? I mean, I get what she’s doing. I often do that myself because I’m very much aware of my faults as a person but the way Bella does it always bugs me. It’s always like “Oh I’m just a lowly and common common peon and not worthy of this perfect god”. Blah blah blah. Shut up Bella! And I often like people with self-deprecating humor but once again the way Bella does it is not very endearing. SMeyer Bella, you’re such a big fail!
